Vanitas Still Life

A picture for school, none of my favourites (I don't think I like painting still lifes) and a bit sloppily painted because I had little time since I have the habit of starting everything on the day before the deadline (xD >.<, but I still wanted to show it because every damn little thing in this still life has a meaning, k?^^
Or I might be uploading it for the sake of completeness, I' not sure. (Though if I'd be, I'd have to upload a lot more, and I think I really upload enough o.O)
Uhm. yeah and there's also my camera in there, btw.

I probably just makes sense if you know what a vanitas still life is, well, at any rate, the assignment was to paint a "modern" vanitas still life with things you have at home (things which do actually look like they belong in our time, not your late great-grandfather's heirloom)

Hmm I think my new scanner isn't too good with contrasts, even if the colours are pretty...
